  • December 31, 2008: NDCC Integrated Community Sustainability Plan or Municipal Sustainability Plan. Remember to update your Regional Director as to the status of your plan.

Since 2005/06, the conditional federal/provincial financial infusion of capital for sustainable infrastructure has enabled even the most cash strapped municipality to participate in critical infrastructure renewal. Remember that it is CONDITIONAL!

A mandatory requirement of the federal/provincial New Deal for Communities and Cities is to "develop and implement a sustainability plan".

If your municipality has not yet reported that it has complied with this condition, we can help.

  • Grant funds can be used toward completing the Plan.
  • Existing planning documents can provide many of the requirements of your ICSP/MSP.
  • Much of the work can be done offsite.
  • The AAMDC ICSP template, which is available to all Alberta municipalities, can be helpful to guide comprehensive information into the mandatory segments.
  • Ensure your municipality's qualification for this important, but conditional grant while saving time and money. Assign this NDCC requirement for a sustainability plan to trusted colleagues who know your community- like CIVIC! Asking is free!

Civic Solutions provided leadership as CAO for the Town of High River for nearly a year after our Town Manager unexpectedly passed away.  Lavinia Henderson was an excellent fit for the time of healing and transition as we searched for a new CAO.  Lavinia was able to set the stage for our new placement, and helped us through a difficult time.
